The 2024 Arizona Ironwood Meet-up is the third annual event for nomads, YouTube creators, and supporters that takes place in the Ironwood Forest National Monument.
When is the 2024 Arizona Ironwood Forest Meet-up?
We are planning our 3rd annual event, the 2024 Arizona Ironwood Meet-up, to take place February 2-6, 2024. However, there will be people camping in the area longer. You are welcome to stay for up to 14 days at a time.

Your organizers have put together a Facebook group for all past and future meet-up attendees to share photos, ask questions, and get to know one another. Click the button below to join!
What types of activities will be at the 2024 Arizona Ironwood Meet-up?
Savor the beautiful Sonoran desert landscape, plant life, and wildlife. Over the weekend, there will be daily excursions for those interested. Some of the excursions include:
- Journey to view the petroglyphs left by the Hohokam people
- Visit the glider port and watch the gliders fly (potentially ride in one!)
- Excursion to the Rockland Hotel ruins
- Explore the Silver Bell Mine smelter area
- Potluck dinner
- Group campfires
- Games available: LED Cornhole, Horseshoes, Beer Pong, Jenga
- Mardi Gras night with beads, masks, music, campfire, and hurricanes
- Instruments are welcome if you play
- Watercolor painting class hosted by Crafty Traveler
- Rock painting class hosted by Sue of Traveling Merton & Sue
- Acrylic Painting and Basket Weaving class by Amber D.
When are the events for the 2024 Arizona Ironwood Meet-up happening?
We will have a dry-erase board in the community tent with the most up-to-date schedule of events. Also, in the Facebook group, you’ll find pinned posts for the individual art workshops. If you are interested in one of the art workshops, please sign up on the appropriate post.
We will have a community campfire each evening. Thank you to everyone from the 2023 Arizona Ironwood Meetup who donated to our firewood fund. If you are interested in donating to the firewood fund, please see Steve or one of the other meetup hosts.

- 10:00 am – Petroglyphs Tour with Steve from Desert Adventures in Arizona (will have lunch after)
- 10:00 am – Gliderport Tour with Ron Sees America (will have lunch after)
- 4:30 pm – Live music by Brea Burns, a fantastic songwriter and country artist coming to us from Phoenix, Arizona:
- 6:00 pm – Mardi Gras night by Greg of Fit4Expedition with beads, masks, music, Hurricanes, and more

- Amber is a mixed media artist with over 10 years of experience working with the community and nonprofit organizations to provide meaningful experiences in expressive arts. She finds happiness in sharing her love of art with others.
